My plans for the living room light fixture= swap out the gold hangy thing, for something more modern, like the red Y socket light that we made a while back (after we spray it flat black) and add an antique ceiling medallion.

and this is how it turned out. So easy to make, just to be sure to choose the lowest watt bulbs you can find, or add a dimmer otherwise this baby will for sure light up the room. It took me so long to update this post,  we've actually had the little industrial sputnik up for awhile now, and something went on sale at West Elm, pics coming soon

This spot has been a revolving door for light fixtures...
