Weekend Getaway

Myself and 10 friends made the 7.5 hr drive alllllll the way past Lousiville, past Lexington to Lake Cumberland KY and rented a house boat (floating hotel) for the weekend.  I don't think anyone ever got over how beautiful it was, and even with so many other vacationers on the lake with all the inlets and coves we really felt like the only people out there. We drank, swam and ate...we ate so good with each person dividing up meals it felt gourmet every night! Gazpacho, jalapeno popper burgers, tabbouleh salad, fancy tacos, gallo pinto... jeeze
En route back home we made a quick stop at Buffalo Trace I wish we had time to do the whole bourbon trail, maybe next time.
